Select your choice of staying in a new 3-bed room with a shower and lavatory in the corridor or in the luxury suite in the rebuilt cockpit with a panoramic view of the airport. At Jumbo Hostel, you are guaranteed a unique and unusual experience at a good price.
Owner Oscar Diös has also run the Uppsala Youth Hostel and Hotel.
The aircraft is an out-of-commission 747-200 Jumbo Jet originally constructed for Singapore Airlines in 1976. Its final days were spent in the service of the Swedish Transjet company until 2002 after having flown for a number of different airlines, among them the legendary Pan Am.
Our onboard café serves coffee, tea, ice cream, soft drinks etc. For those of you who are bit hungrier, we have tasty ready-made meals to heat up in the microwave over as well as fresh salads and sandwiches. The café is open to all overnight guests as well as day visitors. A visit to the café is an excellent opportunity to learn a bit about the history of the Jumbo Jet and its breathtaking construction and size.
The café also hosts a souvenir shop where we sell T-shirts and caps etc.
From April 2019 we go cashless!

By car
You will find us located between route 905 and route 273. Exit toward Grind 1, Norrtälje and Almunge. We are located across from Radisson SAS Arlandia and Flight Academy.
There is no parking available at the plane. Parking is available at Alfa or Beta long-term parking facilities. From here, transfer bus number 14 goes to the Jumbo Hostel.
By bus of train from the terminal
The no-cost transfer bus number 14 goes every 15 minutes between Jumbo Hostel and the terminals.
On foot
It is about a 15-minute walk from the terminals
Parking
We have 10 parking spaces below the plane for our day guests. Guests travelling and needing to park their cars for more than a night are directed to the nearest ALFA long-term parking facility.
The ALFA long-term parking facility offers affordable long-term parking just 500 metres away from Jumbo Hostel. ALFA shuttle bus no. 14 goes by Jumbo Hostel on the way to the terminals which makes it easier for guests wanting to leave their cars directly before checking in to Jumbo Hostel.
