Linnebjer, nature reserve

Linnebjer is located on the crest of the southern slope of the Kävlingeådalen valley. The small Nature Reserve is quite varied. In the north-western part you can walk through rich mixed broadleaved woodland dominated by lime, oak, and hazel, and in the southern part there is a small area of beech woodland rich in herbs. At the car park there is a spring, the water of which runs through a ditch to a wet meadow in the north-eastern part of the woodland. Both the spring and the wet meadow are kept open by regular hay cutting. The woodland has not been grazed since the early 1900s, but along the north-eastern fringe of the woodland, grazing animals still keep the landscape open. The eastern part of the pasture is particularly interesting with a rich flora.

Thanks to the many old trees, the woodland is home to many hole-nesting birds, such as pied flycatcher and nuthatch. Woodpeckers can also be heard in the woodlands. Other birds that make their presence felt are the blackcap, robin, and redstart, and in the pasture the yellowhammer.

There is a car park at the entrance to the Reserve.

Linnebjers naturreservat ligger 5–6 km öster om Lund. Från Lund kör österut på Sandbyvägen. Cirka 3,5 km efter att korsningen med Utmarksvägen har passerats, ta av vänster på väg 947 (skylt mot Ö Odarslöv) strax efter Sularp. Fortsätt norrut cirka 3 km tills du ser skylt mot naturreservat.
