Description
Söderköping is a summer city. St. Laurentii church in Söderköping is a natural place to start a week's pilgrimage along the Birgittaleden.
You start your walk in St. Laurentii church, for example in connection with the morning prayer or one of the services that are celebrated. In St. Laurentii church you will find written material about pilgrimages such as the book Birgittaleden. Here you can also stamp your pilgrim passport. In connection with morning prayer and worship, there is also the possibility to receive a "broadcast" before your hike begins. You can also contact the Deaconess Center for intercession if you start your walk at a different time.
The walk goes along the Göta canal and then turns off towards Gårdeby, where there are overnight options.
