Description

The Barefoot Trail ("Barfotastigen" in Swedish) is a 200 m long footpath suitable for walking without shoes and socks. The path starts near the picnic area in central Kärsön and consists of different surfaces. Try to use all your senses on your barefoot walk!

At the picnic area, you'll find a wheelchair-accessible outdoor dry toilet, a grilling area and a covered shelter.

This nature reserve is managed by the National Property Board (Statens fastighetsverk, SFV), skogsbruk@sfv.se.

Regulations

In order to protect the Lovö nature reserve, please respect the following rules.

Within the reserve, it is forbidden to:

  1. dig, cut, drill or in any other way damage bedrock, soil or stone,
  2. fell or damage living or dead trees or bushes,
  3. damage vegetation by digging up plants,
  4. bring unleashed dogs,
  5. ride horses on designated hiking trails,
  6. camp for more than two consecutive nights in a tent, motorhome, caravan or similar,
  7. moor a boat for more than two consecutive nights at the same beach (this rule does not apply to piers and marinas),
  8. put up permanent posters, signs or similar.
