Sunnerstaåsen

Near Fyrisån's outlet in Mälaren, only 9 km from central Uppsala, lies the open air area of the Sunner Ståsen. It is a small compact area that accommodates much: hiking trails, light tracks (3.4 km), mountain biking tracks (3.5 km), forest, slalombacke with two lifts and four downhills, pulkabacke and fireplaces. Wintertime ski tracks are tracked along the electric light track.

The central point and a good starting point are the Sunnerstastugan which from now on is open every day of the week, weekdays at 11-18, Saturdays at 10-16 and Sundays at 12-16. Here you can rent outdoor equipment, such as skis, skates, bicycles etc. as well as coffee in the cafe that offers simpler dishes, noise and other good. Sunnerstastugan is located at a large pit, an old gravel. Sunnerstaåsen is part of the powerful Uppsalaåsen that stretches throughout Uppland. It is at the pit that the fine pulk backs are located and down the bottom you will find a wind protection with two fireplaces, wood stores and restboard. There are several fireplaces in the area. If the Sunnerstastugan is open, you can ask for wood there, otherwise you can bring your own to the other fireplaces in the area.

Near sunnerstastugan is also The Mullerike with adventure stations where large and small can play and discover exciting things in nature. Forest mould, forest cow and motor skills are adapted for people with disabilities.
