Description
Södrabo Bokskog is a hilly nature reserve located at the eastern end of Lake Hindsen, about 8 km east of Värnamo. There are two car parks with information boards next to the nature reserve, but no prepared footpath.
The eastern parts are covered with old beech forests interspersed with standing and lying dead wood. The beech forests have stable and high humidity, which favours sensitive moss and lichen flora.
The western part of the reserve was previously fenced fields, meadows and pastures. Today, there are still clear traces in the form of cultivation cairns and terraced fields. The cultivation cairns are overgrown with small-leaved linden, ash, elm and hazel trees. Scattered in this area are old apple trees and large, barbed oaks. There is plenty of dead wood, including from mature trees.

Facts
The right of public access does not apply in full within the nature reserve. You are welcome to visit the nature reserve, but please note that the following are not permitted:
- destroying or damaging permanent natural features or dead trees or bushes or parts of trees or bushes

making fires other than with wood you have brought with you

setting up a trailer/caravan or motorhome

to pick or gather mosses, lichens or fungi, with the exception of edible mushrooms for domestic use

collecting invertebrates

displaying boards, signs, markings, posters or similar
The following are prohibited without the permission of the County Administrative Board:
- using the nature reserve for organised competitive and training purposes or similar with more than 100 participants
-
using the nature reserve for camping with more than 30 participants

Other legislation pertaining to forest and land use naturally also applies in the nature reserve.
Regulations
Allemansrätten gäller inte fullt ut i naturreservatet. Du är välkommen att besöka naturreservatet, men tänk på att det inte är tillåtet att:
- förstöra eller skada fast naturföremål eller döda träd eller buskar eller delar av träd eller buskar
- elda annat än med medhavd ved
- ställa upp släpvagn/husvagn eller husbil
- plocka eller samla in mossor, lavar eller svampar, med undantag av matsvamp för husbehov
- samla in ryggradslösa djur
- sätta upp tavla, skylt, inskrift, affisch eller därmed jämförlig anordning
- Inom reservatet är det utan Länsstyrelsens tillstånd förbjudet att:
- använda reservatsområdet för organiserade tävlings- eller övningsändamål eller motsvarande med fler än 100 deltagare
- använda reservatsområdet för lägerverksamhet med fler än 30 deltagare.
Övrig lagstiftning för vad man får göra i skog och mark gäller givetvis också i naturreservatet.
