Beschreibung
Together with the nature reserve Kronan, Möckelsnäs nature reserve is the outermost part of a peninsula in Lake Möckeln. There are no signed walking trails in this reserve, but Kronan's trails are good and in the same kind of nature. You can of course do a little walk of your own here because the reserve has an open vegetation and is possible to visit without a trail in some parts.
The reserve consists mostly of deciduous forest where the trees are home to lots of rare lichens, mosses, fungi and beetles, which makes it important to protect the old forest and the environment. The sometimes flooded coastal forest with alder, birch, aspen and willow also has great natural values that are important to protect and preserve. An unusual insect in the area is the oak brown beetle that lives in hardwood of dead oak. Another interesting species is hairy moss that lives in beach forests that are regularly flooded. You are welcome to visit the nature reserve, but please note that it is not allowed to:
- damage natural objects or surface formation, for example by digging, drilling, painting or chiseling;
- trap or otherwise damage living or dead standing or fallen trees and bushes;
- pick, damage or dig up herbs, fungi, lavas and mosses or other plants other than picking single copies (although not lavas) of non-fridlyst species. Carrier and food sponge may be picked for housing needs. collect insects, shells, worms or other invertebrates other than single copies of non-fridlyst species;
- disturbing or damaging wildlife, for example, by proximity to live or playground behaviour;
- perform or park motor vehicles or trailers other than on the designated road and the parking lot;
- tent more than one night (should not take place within the arranged break),
- overnight in camper or caravan,
- set up pictures, birdholk, sign, poster, snittle, art objects similar to that without the County Administrative Board’s approval;
- conduct competition, exercise, camp activities or the like without the County Administrative Board’s approval.
These regulations exempt measures for scientific investigation approved in advance by the County Administrative Board.
Other legislation for what can be done in forests and land also applies in the nature reserve.
