STF Mjölby Vandrarhem

Mjölby is beautifully and strategically located in the middle of the beautiful Östgötaslätten. A perfect starting point for experiences in the area where you can take part in fantastic nature as well as historical sites, ancient monuments and rune stones from a short distance. Visit Birger Jarl's birthplace Bjälbo, Vadstena, historic Skänninge and Tåkern. Enjoy hiking on Östgötaleden and Signaturled Omberg. The possibilities are many with Mjölby as the hub.

Staying with us is a journey in itself. Located on an islet in Svartån in the middle of central Mjölby, you are greeted by a completely unique environment. There are no less than 25 older buildings, most of which are relocated and pleasantly located in a lush park-like environment. Hembygdsföreningen arranges various events here in the summer and runs a museum and a café open in the summer. This contributes to Norrgårdsholme being a well-visited and popular place for both Mjölby's residents and visitors. You can easily reach Holmen via a bridge.

The accommodation is housed in five different houses. The main building is from the 19th century. Here you will find the reception for check-in and here you will find a number of rooms. Rooms are simply furnished and have washbasins and bunk beds. In the old cellar vault, where in the past the distilleries were stored, there is today a guest kitchen. You can also choose to book one of the picturesque cottages from the 19th century; Svaltorpet, Stugan Back or Heddastugan. The charming cottages have details from the past, and here you can really relax from everyday stress and enjoy the simplicity. The cottages have electricity and simple kitchens with running water. Other facilities are available adjacent. Bed linen is available for rent. Please note that sleeping bags are not allowed in any of the houses. During the summer we serve breakfast by prior arrangement. Book at the same time as you reserve your room.
