Folk och fä - ett litet pensionat på Väddö

Folk och fä offers countryside living at a Roslagen farm with a history that goes back to the late 17th century.

The farm has a total of eight beds and six rooms in beautiful natural environments within walking distance of Väddöviken and 2 km to the sandy beaches and smooth rocks at the Sea of Åland. The distance to Grisslehamn is 3 km.

Included in the price is bedlinen, towels and an ecological breakfast buffet. There is a wood fired sauna, massage, wireless internet, bike rental and exclusive accommodation in a farmyard suite. The entire property can be booked for self-catering accommodation.

Smaller parties like conferences and long-distance skating groups are welcome.

18th century farmyard suite
Storstugan is a separate part of the farmyard buildning of 35 m2 with a private entrance. There is an open fire, a stove, a kitchen area as well as a bathroom with shower, toilet and heated flooring. One double bed and two curtained foldaway beds. Bedlinen, towels and an ecological breakfast buffet is included.

Hike and bike
Follow one of the trail suggestions of 15, 35 or 80 km. “The beautiful coastal path of Roslagen” or “The Roslagen coast on two wheels and achipelago boat”. Bridges will take you to nearby islands in the outer archipelago. See the lighthouse at Svartklubben, the boat houses of Backbyn and Grisslehamn fishing village.

The Roslagsleden trail offers lovely hiking trails along the Sea of Åland.

Wood fired sauna
Enjoy the wood fired sauna with lighted candles and a crackling fire. During winter, the path to the sauna is lit up by torches.

Book the entire property - self-catering
Perfect for efficient meetings and get-togethers. Gather your family, your friends or colleagues. Stay for a week, a weekend or single nights. Ecological breakfast, if ordered, is put in the fridge for you at arrival. Departure cleaning and bedlinen may be booked in advance.

Grisslehamn
Grisslehamn is a genuine fishing village and a popular summer paradise. You can take a swim from smooth, sun-warmed rocks or child-friendly beaches. Take a walk around the bustling fishing port, visit the fish-sellers who are famous for their smoked and fresh seafood. Each Saturday during summer a flea-market is organized as well as music events, art exhibitions, sailing camps, rowing competitions, adventure golfing and the Grisslehamn day.

A visit at Albert Engström’s home and studio is recommended.

There is a ferry from Grisslehamn to Eckerö at Åland which is a 2 hour crossing.
