The Långesjön – Rydöbruk section of the Hallandsleden Trail offers hikers a beautiful experience through varied landscapes, with picturesque views over the tranquil Långesjön lake and the lush river valleys of Kilan and Nissan. This section of the trail takes you through a mix of forested terrain and open fields, providing both scenic beauty and a sense of calm seclusion. Along the way, you’ll encounter historical landmarks that reflect the region’s rich cultural heritage, with traces of old industries and past settlements. The route also passes through natural areas teeming with wildlife, including birds, deer. Be extremely cautious when crossing "Nissastigen", i.e. highway 26.
Hallandsleden Trail – A Journey Through Halland
The Långesjön – Rydöbruk stretch is part of the larger Hallandsleden Trail, a 400 km long hiking route that winds through the diverse and stunning landscapes of Halland County in southern Sweden. The trail starts in Helsingborg in the south and stretches all the way to Kungsbacka in the north, divided into 27 sections, each offering unique landscapes, from rugged coastal cliffs to serene lakes and dense forests. Along the way, hikers will pass through charming villages, protected nature reserves, and cultural sites that showcase Halland’s rich history. The Långesjön – Rydöbruk section, with its scenic lakes, forests, and historical significance, is just one example of the diverse experiences the Hallandsleden Trail has to offer.
