Description

Difficulty level: Even and firm ground: The terrain is generally flat. The hike requires no need to use your hands for support. No obstacles. Bridges are always present when crossing waterways.

Accessibility: No

Campsite: Yes. both at Kvarnforsen and Gyltige you will find beautiful resting areas with wind shelters that can accommodate 4-5 people and fireplaces. At Kvarnforsen there is also a dry toilet. Please note that it is not suitable to park the car next to the rest areas. If you are traveling by car, you are responsible for finding a parking space where the car is not in the way or is inappropriately parked. Expect to have to walk a few kilometers.

Kvarnforsen - Gyltige trail: On its way south the trail follows a country road on the Baggåsen peak, which lies nearly 50 metres above its surroundings. At Ynnabo it turns south and enters a landscape dominated by lakes, coniferous forests and marshes. The area is full of wildlife, with elk, roe deer, forest birds and seabirds. The last part of this section follows the Rive Fylleån valley up to the shelter in Gyltige.

Hallandsleden Trail – A Journey Through Halland

The Kvarnforsen – Gyltige stretch is part of the larger Hallandsleden Trail, a 400 km long hiking route that winds through the diverse and stunning landscapes of Halland County in southern Sweden. The trail starts in Helsingborg in the south and stretches all the way to Kungsbacka in the north, divided into 27 sections, each offering unique landscapes, from rugged coastal cliffs to serene lakes and dense forests. Along the way, hikers will pass through charming villages, protected nature reserves, and cultural sites that showcase Halland’s rich history. The Kvarnforsen – Gyltige section, with its scenic lakes, forests, and historical significance, is just one example of the diverse experiences the Hallandsleden Trail has to offer.
