Accessible outdoor gym

The aim is to awaken a broader interest in the local heritage park among young people as well as more social groups. Through an outdoor gym, the organisation also wants to promote physical activity. Both the gym and toilet are accessible. Each piece of equipment has a sign with instructions and a QR code linked to information on how to use the equipment.

The outdoor gym at Lindekullen is a perfect complement to the hiking/running trails that start there and the large grass area that can be used for various ac[1]tivities. The gym is frequently visited by school classes and associations. It is always open, free of charge and illuminated in the evening. Research shows that exercising outdoors in any weather has great health benefits. Breathing the fresh air and smelling the scents of the forest provides an extra health boost. It’s relaxing, calm and quiet, except for the chirping of birds. Lying on the bench press and seeing a blue sky between the treetops offers a new experience and brings a new dimension to the exercise.
