Description

The cave is approximately 11 metres long. In the 1420s it was inhabited by a man from Anviken called Salve Sverkersson who had been declared an outlaw. Salve was accused of killing Jan Björnsson from Förberg. They had been in dispute about hunting and fishing. The village of Förberg lies on the lake shore not far from Revsund Church. Salve Sverkersson was eventually pardoned by Erik of Pomerania, who was the first king of the Nordic Kalmar Union, in the beginning of the 15th century.
