Description

Bruksvallarna is a genuine mountain village offering great mountain experiences, sprung from a small valley. Following a hike in the mountains with close friends in 1945, Kerstin and Birger Myhr sat down to rest on a hill right next to Ljusnan. The place was not only scenic but also great for skiing and mountain hiking. "I would love a hotel here," Kerstin said, and so it was. The hotel was built in 1948 and is currently run by its fourth generation of Myhrs. A classic mountain hotel with 47 hotel rooms, a dining room for 150 guests, a cozy lobby, meeting and yoga rooms as well as a pool and a sauna.

The hotel is located in the middle of Bruksvallarna, a vibrant mountain village and tourist resort in the mountain destination of Funäsfjällen, in the west of Härjedalen. Bruksvallarna is the focal point of 300 km of cross-country tracks and 450 km of rugged trails. The area offers 147 slopes on a single ski lift pass, 470 km of MTB trails, hiking with 30 gold tours and 200 fishing lakes on a single fishing permit. The village has a ski stadium, grocery store, gym, peak restaurant accessible by tracked vehicle, roller ski track, craft shop, café, waffle cabins, restaurant, cross-country shop, snowmobile rental, dairy, country store, and an active farm with cows, sheep and goats.

In other words, activities await all year round. Enjoy days in the mountains regardless of season, as each has its charm and benefits. In summer and autumn, we set out into the mountains to experience the beautiful nature. Hiking, running, kayaking, biking and many other activities create memories for life. In the pre-season, Bruksvallarna is characterized by training camps and short days. Around Christmas and New Year come, calm descends as winter takes over. In March, the days in the mountains are absolutely wonderful. Sunshine and a wonderful atmosphere invite you to spend time outdoors. Add the local cuisine, and every sense has been catered to. Life in the mountains has its charm, regardless of garb.

Welcome to explore Bruksvallarna, and welcome to Hotel Bruksvallsliden.
