Description

When you hike Anebyleden east along stage A3 and on towards the south-eastern tip of Västra Lägern, it is 41 km to the municipal border and Höglandsleden.

The nature reserve at Lake Hyllingen is an important nesting and resting place for migratory birds. There is a bird tower on the eastern shore where you can look for birds.

The trail passes Marbäcks hembygdsgård, a farm with views of the church village, Lake Ralången and Svartådalen. Ryggåsstugan, once a soldier's village, has been converted into a museum. In Marbäck you can also experience a church from the 13th century.

You walk past Herrestad old mill, a waterwheel mill from the 18th century where the local farmers ground their flour. The three millstones were in use until electricity arrived in 1940.

Assjön is a nature-protected spring lake with very clear and clean water. At the lake is the course and camp farm Gransnäs and at Pinte udde there is a bathing place. In Krister's kingdom there is a soldier's cottage with old objects and you can look at the remains of Krister the Hermit's cave.

Stage A3 ends here at Gransnäs and the final stage A4 begins.
