Description

Getaryggarna is a scenic stretch of road west of the current road 27 between the communities of Bor and Rydaholm. The road winds its way through heath beech forest on an esker, lined with old wooden buildings, ancient monuments, nature reserves and swimming areas.

The forest grows close to the road and at times driving beneath the delicate foliage feels like travelling through a tunnel of greenery. Look out for hepaticas and wood anemone in spring. There are two pitches for motorhomes along the route.

The area extends about 2 km along the old road between Bor and Rydaholm. In the northern part is the beautiful Eds Manor, which was built in the 1840s. The oldest remains in the grounds are from the medieval castle Trolleborg, which was probably built in the middle of the 14th century and destroyed during the Engelbrekt rebellion in 1434.
