Description

Skaftarp Mill, which is now a museum, is mentioned in writing as early as 1312. The current mill was built in 1880 over three storeys and was powered by water from Lake Kätteln with an outlet to Lake Lången. Skaftarp Mill was closed in 1952 when a new river furrow was dug and the mill was left without water. The mill has two water wheels, two pairs of millstones and a rotary mill.

The mill was restored in the 2000s. It is now operated by the Skaftarp Mill Society.
