Description

Tånnö Parish Church. The present church was consecrated in 1852 and replaced an older church from the Middle Ages. The church is built in an east-west direction with a sanctuary to the east and a steeple with a main entrance to the west. The church is built in neoclassical style with a rectangular nave with a gabled roof and a semi-circular sanctuary to the east. The vestry is on the north side, adjacent to the sanctuary. The building materials are stone and brick. The façades are rough cast in white. The roof is laid with rebated sheet metal. The steeple to the west is crowned with a cross. The interior is aisleless with a barrel-vaulted wooden ceiling. The focus point is an altarpiece by Louis Masreliez from 1854.
