Description

The trail starts from Pukeberg Glassworks in Nybro and continues along the St Sigfrid River. Along the river, there are remains of settlements from pre-Christian times. According to legend, St Sigfrid, Bishop of York, is supposed to have followed the river when he was Christianising Småland. There are relics and modern agriculture in varied nature along the trail.

If you would like to extend the round by a few kilometres, you can cycle south by St Sigfrid Church to the Sigfrid spring, a natural spring with traditions of sacrifices and christenings. Along the trail, you will also pass the golf course in Krukebo where you can stop and eat. Nybro has accommodation, restaurants and shops.** **

12 km (+6 km if you cycle to the Sigfrid spring)

The trail is unmarked, use the map here at Naturkartan for your trip.
