Description
A few kilometers west of Klavreström awaits the high-lying Libbhults meadows. The nature reserve is dominated by flower-rich meadows and pastures, but also contains grove-like forest areas and a lush stream ravine. Much of the land has a past as hay meadows. Today, the reserve is managed through both haymaking and grazing, which ensures a rich and varied flora. The orchids Virgin Mary's keys and green-white night violet grow in the reserve, as well as buttercups, haymaking man, haymaking flower, meadowsweet, sedge and sundew. Along Karrydsbäcken grow abundantly with bluebells. Barn owls, lesser spotted woodpeckers, shrikes, stone curlews and green warblers are among the birds. Sometimes you can hear cuckoos and flycatchers. The meadow trail takes you through beautiful meadows on a 2.5 kilometer hike.
