Description

Evedal Evedal is the largest and most popular bathing beach in Växjö. On the shore of Lake Helgasjö, there is a diving tower as well as large grassy area that are perfect places to spread a beach towel and enjoy a picnic. This place has a history as a glamourous spa resort. But the area also has a rich fauna. Black-throated divers, Eurasian oyster catchers and great black-backed gulls are also found at Lake Helgasjön. At the old Evedal railway station, you can have coffee and a snack and admire some of the county's mightiest larch trees. Their cones often attract crossbills.
