Description

Skeppshultasjön and others lakes are located on the border between Älmhult and Ljungby municipalities. The fisheries management area extends from the Bridge at the Helge å's outlet from Möckeln via Tornasjön, Kråka channel, Skepphultasjön and Bökönasjön to Bergagårdsbron in Svinaberga. Here you can fish for the majority of species found in Swedish waters in a varied environment.

Regulations

In addition to the requirement for a valid fishing license, the following rules apply to the release of fish:

  • Perch over 35 cm
  • Pike over 70 cm
  • Grows over 45 cm
  • Fern regardless of size

Note that the water also contains catfish, which are protected from targeted fishing in Sweden and are classified as vulnerable in the species data bank's national red list. It is also covered by the Bern Convention, which protects European wild animals and plants and their environments. Catfish accidentally caught must be unconditionally released back with the least possible handling and without being lifted out of the water.

Otherwise, our guests are expected to:

  • Limit catch to a reasonable level
  • Show respect for the fish
  • Protect nature and the environment
  • Show consideration for other fishermen and residents in the area

Fishing license does not entitle you to crayfish fishing
