Description

The Transjön-Svansjön fishing conservation area is located in the borderlands between Småland and Halland. It’s only a half-hour drive from both Halmstad and Ljungby to reach the lakes. In these fishing waters, you’ll find plenty of perch, pike, and roach. You can also catch tench and bream.

The landscape is dominated by older spruce forests, with several smaller lakes within a five-kilometer radius. The lakes serve as the starting point for the Fylleån river, which flows into the Kattegat on the Halland coast. The fishing conservation area is part of the Fylleån water council.

In the largest lakes, Transjön and Stora Svansjön, you can launch your own boat, and there are also opportunities for fishing from docks or the shore. However, during low water levels, using a boat motor may be impractical due to rocks just below the waterline.
