Archaeological
This medieval castle is located on a peninsula in Lake Ryssby. When the site was excavated by archaeologists in the 1990s, it was dated to the first half of the 14th century. At the castle there has been a tower building which was flanked by a dwelling house and a smaller building.
The castle yard was divided by a smaller moat and there was another building on the so-called forecourt. All the houses were built of wood.
