Description
Åseda’s old marketplace was located just west of the town. This was the place for trading, gossiping, and enjoying some singing and music. For about 150 years ago so were Kristina Nilsson at this market. At the time she was only a child, but she grew up to be a world-famous opera singer. She sang here at this pine tree.
The pine tree is today about 200 years old and home for many species. Take a closer look and you'll see many lichens and traces from birds.
