Väckelsång route

Road description Preferably start by ICA in Väckelsång. Take Dackegatan/Centrumgatan and take a left turn into Gamla vägen. Pass by Larmgatan and turn into the bicycle path on the left side. The bike route "Åsnen Runt" runs on the same route and you can follow the signs all the way to the sign towards Ekamåla. At the sign you keep right and continue on the asphalt road (Don’t turn towards Ekamåla), stay on the road until the junction, where you turn right towards Jät. After a few kilometers you see the sign for Ursötorps bathing place, where you can take a bath in lake Åsnen. Back on the road you take a turn towards Jät, where you can visit the beautiful, medieval church from the 12th century. Go back the same way and turn left at the sign towards Väckelsång. On your way you pass Lidhem. Here you find Lidhemsjön, a lake with a high population of birds and Lidhem gård with its beautiful surrounding nature. Follow the old railway embankments, the bike route "Åsnen Runt" back to Väckelsång. Visit Väckelsångs kyrka, a church that was built between 1827 and 1829. A local history museum with cottages is also close by. Take the Centrumgatan back to ICA. The tour is mainly on smaller asphalt roads and a shorter part on car-free bicycle route.
