Description

The Lumberjack huts where built during 1920 to 1930 and where used for staying over temporary during lumbering. Most of the huts are located close to the Old biking trails. Today the huts are used mostly for outdoor activities.

Juppyräbäckskojan is one of the oldest huts in the area and has a floor made of dirt and a simple bunk to sleep on.

Directions

From Jockfall you cross the bridge and drive on the west side of Kalixälven north about 10 km. Just before Jockselet you turn left to Björkåvägen and follow that road about 7 km. At an intersection you turn left (there's an old sign in the intersection that says Jyppuräbäckskojan). Follow the road another 1 km to a gravel pit. Approx 100 m you'll see a black sign that says "Bastukojan". Continue on the gravel road about 50 m and to the right you'll see orange marks on the trees that shows where the trail starts.

NB! There are gravel- and forest road that is in varying condition due to time of the year and lumbering.
