Description

On either side of road 676 lies Lundbäckskogen. Here you find exciting ravines and leafy slopes, where your eyes and nose can lead you to species such as Coral Tooth Fungus and Diamond Willow Fungus. The terrain is in place is challenging and you may have to make your way over quite a few trunks. Some of the ravines down near the Lule river are 15–20 metres deep. The area is 1.5 square kilometres in size.

Communications

The nature reserve lies about 12 kilometres southeast of Bodträskfors. Road 676 between Heden and Bodträskfors runs through the area. An alternative route is to take a logging road southwards 3 kilometres west of Österby. After 1.5 kilometres you turn left and then follow the road through Långmyrskogen Nature Reserve and to the turnaround at the end of the road.

The nature reserve is located about 12 kilometers southeast of Bodträskfors. The most suitable route to the reserve is public road 676 between Heden and Bodträskfors. Alternative route is at the information sign in the southern part of the reserve. About 3 kilometers west of Österby there is a forest road south turn in there and continue about 1.5 kilometers and then turn left. Follow that road through Långmyrskogen nature reserve and to the turntable at the end of the road.

Regulations

  • hike
  • make a fire, remember to bring your own wood!
  • pick berries and edible mushrooms
  • drive snowmobiles on snow-covered ground
  • fish and hunt in accordance with the laws in force
