STF Teusajaure Mountain cabin

STF Teusajaure has good winter fishing, and you can do alpine tours from here to the peaks of Urtticohkka, Varatjåhkkå and Gappetjåkkå, during both the summer and winter. A demanding, but magnificent experience is to climb Kårsatjåkka peak, 1,703 m.a.s.l.

STF Teusajaure consists of two cabins and is connected to Kungsleden (Royal Trail) along the section between Kebnekaise and Saltoluokta. The trail continues over the lake and there is a rowboat for the experienced rower. Most go over the lake with the cabin custodian in a motorboat. You can also relax in a wood heated sauna and take a dip in the refreshing and clear mountain lake.

This is how it works in a mountain cabin
Our mountain cabins offer a simple and authentic stay in multi-bedded rooms with self catering. The rooms are different sizes with bunk beds and usually heated by gas stoves. On site you will be greeted by a cabin manager. As a guest you chop wood, fetch water from the stream or lake, wash up and clean up after yourself.

A new shelter has been built close to the jetty on the south side of lake. The shelter is located on the same place as the one destroyed in a fire in 2020
