Description

Vinkkakoski is part of a larger contiguous area of considerable natural values. The area slopes gently down towards the river and is rich in herbaceous plants and lots of aspen. The nature reserve includes Vinkkakoski Rapids in the Kalix river. Along the banks, alder bushes grow and slightly further from the river, the ground is boulder-strewn. The area is 4.1 square kilometres in size.
