Description

A path runs along by the shore, from the parking area in the north to Straffängsviken bay in the south. The walk through the area begins by the little bathing bay at Tegelbruket. From here the path leads up into a mountainous area with mighty rocks, where pines grow and die undisturbed. You can get up close to the fallen pines, which give you an understanding of how big these giants can become. To continue you must climb over or round the rocks and boulders. Only a small part of the hike is demanding, then you continue back on a path along a ridge with a view over Toften’s shore. Arriving at the long sandy beach in the south is well worth your walk. Along the ridge are several small bathing bays, but they do not compare with Straffängsviken bay in the south which, with its 200-meter-long sandy beach, is a real pearl.

Recommendations

Bring swimwear and a picnic. Good shoes that can take a bit of rough terrain and the wetter sections.
