Förslag till vandringstur mellan Staffanstorp och Sjöbo-Knäppan genom Charlottenborgs betesmarker
Ett bra förslag till promenad i tätortsnära natur i Motala är att följa de markerade…
Bird watching
The bird tower in Sjöbo-Knäppan nature reserve is located about 400 m from the reserve car park. The forest and reeds around the shore of Lake Boren are full of life and from the greenery you can hear Common Rosefinches, Thrush Nightingales and Redwing mixed with the most discreet sounds from Hawfinch and Lesser Spotted Woodpecker. In the spring, Boren's beaches boil of playing frogs and the Western Marsh Harrier can be seen hunting over reeds during the summer.
The northern parts of the area, by the Sjöbo croft, are easily accessible and can be reached by both car and bicycle. Parking is available at the croft Sjöbo. The reserve is also within walking distance of the Motala town. Walkways to the reserve are from Slaggbron and Borenshult. From Charlottenborg there are paths to the reserve. Local buses stop at Ekenäs, which is less than a kilometer from the reserve.
