Description
Stubba oak pasture is surrounded by cornfields and falu-red buildings with white knots in traditional farm environments. From the bedrock in the hilly small pasture you have a beautiful view of the surroundings with Kristbergs church on the horizon.
The gnarled old oaks are, like the city high-rises, home to a big crowd of plants and animals. On Stubba's oaks, a number of rare small lichens grow. Many unusual oak-dependent beetles also live here. Like the oak and its inhabitants, the vascular plants of the pasture are dependent on light and tradition in the form of grazing or mowing. Parts of the pasture in Stubba are very rich in species.
