Description

Styra limestone marsh is located in the plains in the western part of Östergötland. Surrounding land consists of cultivated, highly productive arable land. Several similar limestone marshes are located in this agricultural area at a relatively short distance from each other, of which two marshes are included in the reserve. This is a nice limestone marsh that became a nature reserve in 2012. The area is fenced for grazing but there are gates inside. The reserve also includes a completely newly restored area that was previously arable land but which in 2013 was excavated to recreate limestone marshes. There is a parking space (up by the gravel pit) with space for 10-15 cars and there you will also find a notice board with information about the reserve. From the parking it is about 250 meters walk along a gravel road down to the reserve.

The nature reserve is managed by Länsstyrelsen Östergötland.
