Description

The Kasberget nature reserve is a diverse natural landscape with magnificent old oaks and lindens, hazel groves and pine forests clinging to exposed bedrock.

The reserve encompasses Kasberget mountain, located in an area called Storön. From Kasberget's high plateau, 29 m above sea level, you can experience a great view of the surrounding landscape.

Directions

The Kasberget nature reserve is located on Rådmansö, about 12 km east of Norrtälje city centre and directly south of the village of Södervik. The reserve is most easily reached on foot. There is no designated parking lot.

Regulations

In order to protect the Kasberget nature reserve, please respect the following rules.

Within the reserve, it is forbidden to:

  1. drill, cut, blast, carve, dig, paint or in any other way damage rock, soil or stone,
  2. fell or in any other way damage living or dead trees and bushes or remove dead wood,
  3. dig up plants, such as shrubs and herbaceous plants, or remove mosses, lichens or fungi growing on wood (it is permitted to pick fungi growing on soil),
  4. operate motorised vehicles off road, on both snow-covered and bare ground,
  5. camp for more than two consecutive nights in the same place.
