Even if you enjoy cycling, you may need transportation to or from the cycling trail. Many transportation companies operate to and from the areas near and around Unionsleden.

Bring your bike on the bus

Currently, the options for taking your bike on return transportation are limited. Here are the available options.

Dalslands Buss

With Dalslands Buss you can travel between Karlstad and Moss and bring your bike and luggage. During the summer of 2024, you can book a spot on the following dates: June 25, July 9, and July 16. Contact them for prices, booking and to register interest.

Värmlandstrafik

Värmlandstrafik also offers the option to bring your bike on the bus on certain routes during the summer, though this is limited to a maximum of two bikes per bus and does not include electric bikes. You can travel between Karlstad and Töckfors on line 700.

Töcksfors-Mysen

You can take the train with VY to Oslo or Moss. To get between Töcksfors and Mysen, you can:

• Cycle the 24-kilometer distance

• Contact Visit Indre Østfold to book transportation. It costs 500 NOK per person, and the transport departs from Töcksfors on Tuesdays at 3 PM during the period from June 25 to August 13. Email: post@visitindre.no

Flixbus

Flixbus has a route between Oslo and Karlstad but only accepts folding bikes.

• Spydeberg sports hall - the parking lot is located on the short side of the sports hall. Enter Griniveien and turn left. Askim sports hall - the parking lot is located at the sports hall, Kirkegata 9.
