3. The Florarna walk, 10 kilometres
Suitable for: Those who want to have a nice one-day hike with a wilderness feel in Uppsala County’s biggest nature reserve.

Fragrant bogs, lekking black grouse, and a big dose of wilderness. A hike in Uppsala County’s biggest nature reserve is a real experience. Dense, old forests, open bogs, and dark forest lakes dominate.
You’ll start at the camping facility Risön in the north, or at break spot Stormon in the south. If you’d like to stay for longer, you can stay overnight in the Florarna nature reserve. The county administrative board rents out cottages by Risön in the northern part of the reserve.

Find it Florarna is located north of Ӧsterbybruk and Ӧrbyhus.
By car: If you’re coming from the south, Stormon is the nearest starting point. Take road 290 or 292 to Ӧsterbybruk. From there on to Film, where there are signs to Florarna and Stormon. If you’re coming from the north, Risön, located in the northern part of the Florarna nature reserve, is closer. Take road 76 to Lövstabruk, and follow the signs from there to Ӧrbyhus. After six kilometres, you’ll see a sign towards Florarna and Risön. By bus: There are no nearby bus stops.
