Description
Jäverön, just east of Karlstad, is an island in the Lake Vänern archipelago. Here you will find hiking trails that runs through a varied and very beautiful landscape.
Along the trails you will find shelters, resting areas, toilets and information boards that will tell you more about the culture and nature on the island. The island is about 900 hectares big. You can get to Jäverön with your own boat, with a ferry or a boatbus. The hiking trails starts at the port and the bridge where the boatbus stops. You can choose to walk the shorter trail of about 3 kilometers, or the longer one of about 17 kilometers. The longer trail can also be divided into two different paths. Each path is 10 kilometers long. A map over the area is available at Karlstad Tourist Office.
