Description
The atmosphere that surrounds you when you come into the reserve is magical. The trees are old; the ground is green with moss. Despite the silence being complete, as if the mountain itself dampens all sound, the area is full of life. In the sunlit dead wood insects thrive, such as the rare long-horned beetle. Owls also thrive here. Tutterskulle is one of the most owl-inhabited places in Tveden.
At the highest point is a fantastic view, probably one of the few places in the municipality with a view over Lake Vättern! For example, when it is clear Fjuköarna, Motala and Vadstenas church tower can be seen with binoculars.
