The island of Saltö was once known as the Djurgården of Karlskrona, comparing it to Stockholm’s favourite place for recreation. Today the island has been built on but it is still home to one of the town’s best beaches. There is still fishing on the island of Saltö and the fish market Saltöfiskhall sells delicacies from the sea. There are beautiful walks beside the sea and over the rocks leading out to Dragsö where the campsite has mini golf, a restaurant, bike hire, etc.
A ten-minute walk from the town centre. Visitor moorings: 20 Depth: 4 m Moorings: Side-on to the quay
