A well-protected harbour whatever the wind direction. Area for walking with unique nature and geology, beach with cafe, Karlshamn town centre with services 3 km.
Sternö is a rocky peninsula and is Karlshamn’s main area for local recreation, popular for walking, swimming, fishing, picking mushrooms, etc. The historically interesting island of Boön is east of the harbour. This was once the site of Sweden’s biggest shipyard. There is a walking trail with information boards about historic sights.

Directions: The harbour is on the east side of Stärnö about 3 km south-west of the centre of Karlshamn. Junction Karlshamn V (E22 and Rv29): Follow the signs to “centrum-hamn” (Oljehamnsvägen). After the turning off towards the town centre, continue ahead towards “Hamnar”. Take a turning to the right (Södra Stärnövägen). Follow the signs to “Småbåtshamn”.
