Kuvaus

Svenö offers excellent opportunities for walking and swimming. The island is characterised by shallow rift valleys surrounded by mountain ridges in an almost treeless landscape.

On the western headland of the island there are the remains of the foundations of a building, surrounded by stone walls. A family lived here into the 1960s and today grazing animals keep the fields open.

The rules for the nature reserve are shown in the link below, but, for example, dogs must be kept on a lead and you are not allowed to park a caravan, drive a motor vehicle, pitch a tent/moor a boat for more than 24 hours or light a fire other than in a place designated for the purpose.
