Kuvaus

Horshaga fly is a marshland that’s a part of a bigger system of wetlands. This habitat attracts many types of birds, several that are endangered. Species that can be seen are for example:

European golden plover (Pluvialis apricaria)

Wood sandpiper (Tringa glareola)

Green sandpiper (Tringa ochropus)

Crane (Grus grus)

Common snipe (Gallinago gallinago)

In the springtime can you, if you're lucky, see a so called Orrspel which is a courtship ritual for black grouses.

The surrounding forests is also rich with birds. Northern goshawk, western capercaillie, hazel grouse, golden eagle and common kestrel are all examples of birds you might get to see in the forsest.

The tower was built in 2015.

There is a small parking space with a blue parking sign at the road near Horshaga.

Reittiohjeet

Take the west entry to Åseda from road 23 and follow the signs towards Horshaga. After about 7 km (just before the village) is there a small parking space with a blue parking sign. Walk along the forest road for about 150 metres until you get to a crossing. Turn left and follow the poles with white markings to get to the tower.
