It is a special feeling to walk in Kronan nature reserve - the crowns of deciduous trees form a roof that makes it feel fabulous and mysterious. Perhaps the experience is enhanced by the bright light from the lake. Möckelsnäs Manor is located right next door and offers coffee on the terrace directly by the Lake Möckeln shore. Möckelsnäs garden is also a place to visit when you are here,
Kronan is an area along Lake Möckeln's shore with deciduous forest. Like several of the area's other nature reserves, this is a diabase elevation with special plant conditions. The highest point is thirty meters above the lake. Before, most of the reserve was a meadow landscape with elements of fields. Deciduous forest has always been on the slopes. Today, the deciduous forest with oak, hornbeam, linden and hazel has once again taken over the entire area. In the nature reserve there is a walking path and on the other side of the car park lies the Möckelsnäs nature reserve, without a marked walking trail path but also a beautiful nature area with deciduous forest.
Read more about biological values on the county administrative board's (Länsstyrelsen) website via the link below. There are also the local regulations that vary between the different reserves to be found.
