Kuvaus
Here, ridges intersperse the large and small wetlands. The forests contain plenty of old pines which can be as much as 400 years old. In the southwestern part of the area there is a scenic, fairly hilly area with undisturbed primary pine forest. The area is 4.4 square kilometres in size.

Kurkkiorova lies 7 kilometres east of the village of Lainio, just north of the Lainio river in the north-western corner of Pajala Municipality. Follow the road which runs between Kitkiöjoki and Junosuando, 3 kilometres southwest of turning to Keräntöjärvi there is a logging road which leads to the reserve.

Kurkkiorova is 7 kilometers east of the village of Lainio, just north of the Lainio River in the northwestern edge of Pajala municipality. Follow the route between Kitkiöjoki and Junosuando, 3 kilometers southwest of the crossing to Keräntöjaärvi there is a forest road leading to the reserve.
