Kuvaus

Utö offers both rich archipelago nature and Swedish industrial history with traces of several hundred years of mining. The island's ancient bedrock with elements of lime affects the flora. Especially in the northern part of the island there are many orchid species. In spring and autumn you can see the stretch of migratory birds flying past, and in summer you will find plenty of bathing places. The best way to get around is by bicycle that is available to rent. On Utö there is a living community with shop, hostels and restaurants.

The reserve is managed by the Archipelago Foundation. More information can be found on their website.
