STF Wendelsberg Hotell & Vandrarhem Göteborg

Wendelsberg is a former private residence, designed by the well-known architect Adrian C. Petersson, and was completed in 1883. It was a lavish and magnificent building complete with towers, pinnacles, bell towers, verandas, balconies and salons. In 1907 it was sold to IOGT, and in 1908 Sweden's first movement-owned folk high school was opened here. Today ypu will also find a hotel, hostel and restaurant. The business is still owned by IOGT-NTO and the environment is therefore completely alcohol-free. Thank you for respecting this. In the main building ypu will find the reception, restaurant and conferencerooms. The hotel and hostelrooms are located in the newer buildings on the site.

Wendelsberg is located in a scenic area with beautiful and green surroundings that offer rich opportunities for wonderful nature experiences. Around the knot there are exercise tracks and a park area with ponds. Within walking distance is a bathing lake with a jetty and jumping tower for nice, cooling baths. For those traveling with children, there are several playgrounds nearby, including the new nature playground in Wendelsbergsparken. There is also proximity to nice cycle paths, hiking, canoe rental and touring riding on Icelandic horses. And of course, the lovely city of Gothenburg has all its offerings waiting for you. Wendelsberg is located only 10 km from the center of Gothenburg, and there are good connections to and from the city. Wendelsberg is the perfect quiet, green oasis with the pulse of the city just around the corner.

You can stay in in well-equipped rooms with comfortable beds, and regardless of whether you choose the hotel or hostel concept, you have access to a guest kitchen. During the summer months, there is also a nice furnished patio with barbecues, perfect for a lovely summer evening meal. We offer access to a small gym, laundry room, free parking and WiFi. All rooms are located in the newer side buildings, and in the beautiful castle you will find the reception, conference rooms and dining room. Breakfast and lunch is served in the halls with their tiled stoves and beautiful ceilings.

Check-in weekdays 3-7 pm and weekends 1-3.30 pm. If you need to check in later, you must contact us well in advance of the day of arrival. We would like to draw your attention to the fact that Wendelsberg is completely pet-free.
