Kajakuthyrning
Rental of kayaks and outdoor equipment, and kayak courses
The lush archipelago in the Blekinge Biosphere Reserve is Sweden’s southernmost and is ideal for kayaking. Blekinge Archipelago offers a wide variety of islands and bays to explore by kayak. You’ll experience rich wildlife and birdlife—and if you’re lucky, you might spot both seals and sea eagles. From Karlshamn in the west to Torhamn in the east, it’s about 60 km as the crow flies, and Järnavik is strategically located in the heart of the archipelago, about 6 km south of Bräkne-Hoby.
There are many rest areas with opportunities for overnight stays, both on the mainland and on some islands. We have kayaks for beginners as well as for more experienced paddlers, and tandem kayaks with extra space for small children or gear. We also offer transportation of kayaks and equipment for an additional fee.
For those who want to try kayaking in a safe environment or learn more about the basics of paddling, we arrange various kayak courses. We offer single and tandem kayaks for rent, all equipped with rudders. Advanced kayaks with skegs are also available. You can also rent outdoor equipment such as tents, camping stoves, sleeping pads, dry bags, and more.
You’ll find us both in Järnavik’s harbor and at Järnavik Camping.
