Angelstadsrundan i sägenbygd

Start at Hembygdsparken, but cycle carefully on the road near Söderala because there you can meet Gloson. Turn off towards Ularp and the old burial ground of Ryakulla where you on dark autumn evenings, could hear Odin's hunt ominously advancing across the sky. Cycle the old country road past the Angelstad Hembygdsrunda cabinet.

Continue towards Rataryd, on the way to the church there is a cabinet, about Angelstad's original village. In the display cabinets by the cemetery wall, there is the legend of the Scottish knight Ebbe Skammelsen, who was laid to rest by the church. Along the way, you pass the memorial stone Skea fool. At the farm, Hylte, you can read about the tragic love story of the old cross.

Continue towards Norra Rataryd and Lillasjö where fisherman Ture Johansson met Näcken. Turn onto the busier Bolmstadvägen towards Ljungby. You will pass a power line, after this a small road goes in to the south, make a detour to see the Fotastenen. Fotastenen isa stone block with carvings from the Stone Age and the Bronze Age.

Continue for another short distance on Bolmstadvägen and make a detour to the east. After about 400 meters, the road crosses an old field. A large hollow book stood there in the 17th century. In this tree two unmarried youths for a time hid their infant child.

Continue towards Dragaryd, over Älgamossen and cycle through Kvänslöv. In Dragaryd it was told about ghosts at Draghall's lia where the horses refused to pass after dark. Cycle towards Kärringe and cross the Kåtån where there used to be many mills. At the largest, Kärringe mill, Näcken once got stuck. Just before the road crossing with Sjövägen, Dragaryd's stop is on the left side of the road, despite the name, the stop is in Stavsjö. Follow the old country road and pass some shacks until you are back at your starting point again.
