Cycling the small roads through Hemmesjö’s soft agricultural landscape and you move back almost a thousand years. The old church of Hemmesjö was completed in 1175, about 300 years before the coronation of Gustav Vasa. Today, grazing cows and birdsong surround the moody church. Tower sailors and house cool hedges in ceilings and scraps, bushwashing and trana are nearby.
